Were you a customer of Tropic Comics back in the day? The stores have been gone for about a decade now, but for the 1st time in a very long time most of the crew will be in one place at one time. This is an informal get together for anyone who remembers Tropic and wants to swing by and reminisce about days gone by and catch up with old friends. Come say hi to John C., Chris, Rob, Mike, Jimmy, Mark, Anna and more of the gang.

Join special guest Stephan Nilson for this instructive panel on how to write for comics and television. Stephan has been writing for both mediums for years. Quick Draw Contest Rules: Divisions inclue: Middle School, High School, Post High School, Professional (includes any artist with a FSC artist badge). Competing in three rounds: 25 min round: top 3 entries per group are chosen to move onto the next round, 10 min round: top 2 entries per group are chosen to go head to head in final round, 2 min round: winner form each group is chosen and a prize awarded. To make this a true competition all competitors will be drawing the same character each round. The subject will be chosen at random.

The FSC Charity Art Auction will feature amazing art by many of our guest artists and the proceeds will be going to 2 good causes, including the family of Josie Lou Ratley via National Voices for Equality, Education, and Enlightenment (NVEEE) and The Comic Book Legal Defense Fund (CBLDF). Josie Lou Ratley was the victim of a violent attack at her high school several months back and needs a great deal of medical treatment and rehabilitation therapy. The Comic Book Legal Defense Fund is an organization that helps to protect the rights of comic book creators in legal matters. Come get a great piece of art and lend a helping hand at the same time.
